Fear is one of the worst things you can feel.  Fear stops you dead in your tracks. It defeats you.

Do you fear lack, or have fear of failure or maybe you feel the fear of success?  Do you fear loss or the big one, fear of criticism.

This last fear has kept people from living the lives of their choice. Be it staying in a marriage or a relationship you no longer want, or in a job that you hate. But you are afraid that your family or other people will criticism you if you leave. Some children even take on careers or jobs that their parents want for them and do not do what they want to study or work at.

When I was going to school there was a girl who loved acting and she had a great deal of talent. She was in all the schools plays and people really enjoyed watching her. She could dance and sing very well and even play very dramatic roles in a most impressive way. Every summer she acted in the community theater and did very well. When Jane first came to Chile, she and her Chilean boyfriend, Juan,  stayed with Juan’s brother and his wife.  After a couple of weeks sight seeing and meeting the family, they started to hunt for an apartment.  Jane wanted a place where she could see the beautiful Andes mountains of Santiago.

it is a physical issue as well as a psychological one. One of the easiest ways to manage stress is to exercise.

Many counselors and experts of stress will advise their clients to get into some form of exercise program, be it tennis, golf, going to the gym, etc. Just be sure that you really enjoy the form of exercise you choose, because if you don’t really enjoy it you will not do it very long.

Many People at the beginning of the year, having made a resolution to lose weight or to get in shape, join a gym and maybe go the first couple of weeks and then just stop, even if they paid for a six months or more membership.

is the lack of money causing you stress?    Do you know that there were more millionaires made during the depression?  So when you listen to the news, or read the newspaper about the lack of money in the world and how the recession will make everyone poor, this is not true.

Don’t worry about the “The Economy”  only think about “Your Economy”.   If you can keep your thoughts, your attitude and your beliefs positive, you will have the ability to create what you want in your life.

Many people think that it is hard to change their beliefs, but do you remember as a child when you believed in Santa Claus?   How long did it take you to disbelieve when someone told you that Santa Claus didn’t exist?   Not very long I am sure.   Therefore you can change what you believe in, even if you have had the belief all your life.  You just need to decide to change the belief and make a new belief.

You can let go of stress, by not thinking of the problem and start thinking about the solutions.   You have over 60,000 thoughts a day and about 70% of them are the same thoughts you had yesterday and the day before.  And most of those thoughts are negative.

So if you have more bills then you have money to pay them with it would be a good to write down on paper where you are spending your money and see what you can do without.  Most people buy things they don’t really need in the spir of the moment.  When you go grocery shopping it is best that you take a shopping list and only buy the things that are on the list.

Paul just heard that the company that he works for is being taken over by another company that has the same type of department in it that he works in. So Paul begins to worry if they down size, will he still have a job?

This affects his attitude and emotions both on the job and at home. He is edgy and easy to anger. He no longer takes time to play with his children or takes quiet time with his wife. As he can’t stay focused on his work, he starts to make many mistakes, which makes him even more nervous and worried. IS BIOFEEDBACK A RELAXATION TECHNIQUE?

Yes,  Biofeedback is another great relaxation technique,
Biofeedback is a wonderful way to learn to control both your mind and your body.
There are many pieces of equipment to test how your body is reacting when you are
stressed and show you how it changes as you start to relax. Some of the equipment measures
the moister of your finger, some others take your blood pressure or your heart rate.
This helps you to have awareness and conscious control of your unconscious physiological
activates. By becoming aware you can do something to change your behavior.

Another technique of relaxation is hypnosis. There are many styles of hypnosis, but for
relaxation suggestive hypnosis works very well. Clinical hypnosis also relaxes you as
you work on stress related health problems.

Aromatherapy is a wonderful relaxation technique.  You can use essential oils in several
ways.  It can be used in a diffuser, to put the molecules into the air which you will
breath in, or put a few drops in a tub full of water for you to soak in.  You can even
put a few drops on a hankie and take a sniff every once in awhile.

Changing the colors you wear will also help you to relax. Blue is a calming color and
bright yellow is an uplifting color.   People today wear too much black, which is a
depressing color and it doesn’t help you to relax.

These are just some of the ways you can achieve relaxation. Everyone needs to relax to
lower blood pressure, reducing the chance of a stroke or heart attack and also reducing
the stress hormones that suppress the immune system.  Relaxation gives your immune system
time to recover and restore the balance of the body.

Use any one of these relaxation techniques everyday so you can to help your body, mind and
emotions to relax.  You will then attract a good life, feeling calmer, happier and healthier.

Most of the time you overreact and scream or cry,or become sad or angery. Maybe that is because you have the habit of reacting to life in ways that are negative and short sighted (some times called tunnel vision).

You might sometimes run around asking advice and telling everyone your story of how bad this person treated you or this situation was, or just talking and talking until you can’t do anything right.
